Emerald Lake is located in Mound, just north of Cooks Bay and south of Seton Lake. Homes on Emerald Lake are in the Mound Westonka School District. The lake is small and charming, with only one mile of shoreline and a maximum depth of 15 feet. It has become a popular fishing spot on Lake Minnetonka due to its size and no wake regulation.
The Minnehaha Creek Watershed District has historically given Emerald Lake a C in water quality. Emerald Lake is desirable for swimming and boating later in the season. Enforcement of the no-wake regulation makes the area a popular fishing spot on Lake Minnetonka. When fishing on Emerald Lake, it is common to come across Bullhead, Sunfish, Large Mouth Bass, Northern Pike, Sun Fish, and Crappie.
No wake zone.
Emerald Lake’s no-wake regulation and the absence of marinas and boat launches in the bay make it the perfect spot to dock recreational boats.
Nearby, in Seton Channel, boaters have access to the dog-friendly brewery Back Channel Brewing Co.
