Lighthouse Island serves as the flagship of the Lake Minnetonka Sailing School, providing facilities that include a clubhouse, picnic areas, and restrooms. Meanwhile, Bug Island primarily serves as a boat storage area during the sailing season.
Amenities
Deephaven Beach, owned by the city of Deephaven, is a popular destination located on the shores of St. Louis Bay. The beach features ample swimming areas and is staffed with lifeguards from noon to 7 PM daily, ensuring a safe environment for families. Additionally, just outside St. Louis Bay lies Nocomo Beach in Carsons Bay. Although it lacks stationed lifeguards, this hidden gem is located within a residential community, offering a more tranquil beach experience compared to the busier Deephaven Beach.
