The Minnetonka Yacht Club encourages sailing among members of all ages and is renowned for its commitment to youth sailing programs. Lighthouse Island serves as the flagship of the Lake Minnetonka Sailing School, providing facilities that include a clubhouse, picnic areas, and restrooms. Meanwhile, Bug Island primarily serves as a boat storage area during the sailing season.
Deephaven Beach, owned by the city of Deephaven, is a popular destination located on the shores of St. Louis Bay. The beach features ample swimming areas and is staffed with lifeguards from noon to 7 PM daily, ensuring a safe environment for families. Additionally, just outside St. Louis Bay lies Nocomo Beach in Carsons Bay. Although it lacks stationed lifeguards, this hidden gem is located within a residential community, offering a more tranquil beach experience compared to the busier Deephaven Beach.
